Attackers can pass id[1] with crafted SQL, such as time-based SLEEP payloads, along with an api_key derived from md5(home_url()), which flows unsanitized into Database::get_where_query to extract database contents. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-18.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-10-22T10:57:32.517+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-10-23T21:15:37.175+00:00","affected":[{"ecosystem":"Vendor product","name":"NotificationX","ranges":[],"versions":[],"rawVersionEvidence":"{\n                    \"defaultStatus\": \"unaffected\",\n                    \"vendor\": \"WPDeveloper\",\n                    \"product\": \"NotificationX\",\n                    \"versions\": [\n                        {\n                            \"version\": \"2.0.0\",\n                            \"status\": \"affected\",\n                            \"versionType\": \"custom\",\n                            \"lessThan\": \"2.3.12\"\n                        }\n                    ]\n                }"}],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS 4.0","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.8,"severity":"HIGH"},{"system":"CVSS 3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":8.2,"severity":"HIGH"}],"references":["https://wpscan.com/vulnerability/d1480717-726d-4be2-95cb-1007a3f010bb","https://github.com/projectdiscovery/nuclei-templates/blob/main/http/vulnerabilities/wordpress/notificationx-sqli.yaml","https://wordpress.org/plugins/notificationx/","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/notificationx-wordpress-plugin-2.3.12-unauthenticated-sql-injection-via-notification-rest-endpoint"],"sourceUrl":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2022-51021","license":"CVE Program Terms of Use","key":"cve-program:CVE-2022-51021","identifiers":["CVE-2022-51021"]},"retained":false,"historicalAffected":[]}],"coverage":[]}
