This could allow the execution of a man-in-the-middle (MitM) attack against Fleet. In case the server that is being connected to has a trusted entry in the known_hosts file, then Fleet will correctly check the authenticity of the presented certificate.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-10-15T09:17:14.19+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-10-19T22:10:00.13+00:00","affected":[],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS 3.1 · meissner@suse.de · Secondary","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L","score":6.3,"severity":"MEDIUM"}],"references":["https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2025-23390","https://github.com/rancher/fleet/security/advisories/GHSA-xgpc-q899-67p8"],"sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2025-23390","license":"NIST NVD usage terms; underlying source attribution retained","enrichment":{"sourceStatus":"Awaiting Analysis","weaknesses":["CWE-295"],"productCriteria":[],"sourceDates":{"published":"2026-10-15T09:17:14.190","lastModified":"2026-10-19T22:10:00.130"},"relatedAdvisories":[],"note":"NVD analysis and CPE criteria are source context, not proof that a package or your environment is affected.
