ImageMagick versions prior to 7.1.2-8 are vulnerable to denial-of-service due to unsigned integer underflow and division-by-zero in the CLAHEImage function. When tile width or height is zero, unsigned underflow occurs in pointer arithmetic, leading to out-of-bounds memory access, and division-by-zero causes immediate crashes. This issue has been patched in version 7.1.2-8.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2025-10-27T20:15:54.893+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-10-19T13:10:00.11+00:00","affected":[],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS 3.1 · security-advisories@github.com · Secondary","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":4.7,"severity":"MEDIUM"},{"system":"CVSS 3.1 · nvd@nist.gov · Primary","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5,"severity":"MEDIUM"}],"references":["https://github.com/ImageMagick/ImageMagick/commit/7b47fe369eda90483402fcd3d78fa4167d3bb129","https://github.com/ImageMagick/ImageMagick/security/advisories/GHSA-wpp4-vqfq-v4hp"],"sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2025-62594","license":"NIST NVD usage terms; underlying source attribution retained","enrichment":{"sourceStatus":"Analyzed","weaknesses":["CWE-119","CWE-191","CWE-369"],"productCriteria":["cpe:2.3:a:imagemagick:imagemagick:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*"],"sourceDates":{"published":"2025-10-27T20:15:54.893","lastModified":"2026-10-19T13:10:00.110"},"relatedAdvisories":[],"note":"NVD analysis and CPE criteria are source context, not proof that a package or your environment is affected.
