This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. By default only Administrators hold the hustle_edit_module capability, but the plugin's built-in Permissions screen allows administrators to delegate this capability to lower roles including Subscriber, enabling Subscriber-level exploitation on sites where that delegation has been configured.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-10-28T06:45:21.54+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-10-28T06:45:21.54+00:00","affected":[{"ecosystem":"Vendor product","name":"Hustle – Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Optins, Popups","ranges":[],"versions":[],"rawVersionEvidence":"{\n                    \"vendor\": \"wpmudev\",\n                    \"product\": \"Hustle – Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Optins, Popups\",\n                    \"versions\": [\n                        {\n                            \"version\": \"0\",\n                            \"status\": \"affected\",\n                            \"lessThanOrEqual\": \"7.8.14.3\",\n                            \"versionType\": \"semver\"\n                        }\n                    ],\n                    \"defaultStatus\": \"unaffected\"\n                }"}],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS 3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.9,"severity":"MEDIUM"}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/e212b92a-e5f4-415d-9205-070fe720a687?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wordpress-popup/tags/7.8.14.3/inc/front/hustle-module-renderer.php#L500","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wordpress-popup/tags/7.8.14.3/inc/front/hustle-module-renderer.php#L479","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wordpress-popup/tags/7.8.14.3/inc/hustle-modules-common-admin-ajax.php#L56","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wordpress-popup/tags/7.8.14.3/inc/hustle-module-model.php#L574","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wordpress-popup/tags/7.8.14.4/inc/front/hustle-module-renderer.php"],"sourceUrl":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-118169","license":"CVE Program Terms of Use","key":"cve-program:CVE-2026-118169","identifiers":["CVE-2026-118169"]},"retained":false,"historicalAffected":[]}],"coverage":[]}
