As a result, a stale password reset token could be reused to reset the account password even after a defensive password change.\n\n### Impact\n\nIf an attacker had prior access to a valid password reset token, they could reuse that token within its validity window to reset the user’s password after the user has already changed it. This could result in temporary account takeover.\n\nExploitation requires prior compromise of a password reset token and is further constrained by the token’s 24-hour expiration period. The issue does not allow discovery of reset tokens, does not bypass authentication on its own, and does not affect accounts without an existing valid reset token.\n\n### Workarounds\n\nUntil patched, users who believe a password reset token may have been exposed should wait for the token to expire before reusing the account, or contact a Fleet administrator to invalidate active sessions.\n\n### For more information\n\nIf there are any questions or comments about this advisory:\n\nEmail Fleet at [security@fleetdm.com](mailto:security@fleetdm.com) \nJoin #fleet in [osquery Slack](https://join.slack.com/t/osquery/shared_invite/zt-h29zm0gk-s2DBtGUTW4CFel0f0IjTEw)\n\n### Credits\n\nFleet thanks @fuzzztf for responsibly reporting this issue.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-03-27T18:17:09+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-04-02T21:26:06.8287389+00:00","affected":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/fleetdm/fleet/v4","ranges":[{"type":"SEMVER","events":[{"kind":"introduced","version":"0"},{"kind":"fixed","version":"4.43.5-0.20260113202849-bbc1aef2987d"}]}],"versions":[],"rawVersionEvidence":null}],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS_V4","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":null,"severity":null},{"system":"Publisher rating","vector":null,"score":null,"severity":"MODERATE"}],"references":["https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/security/advisories/GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4","https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-26060","https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet"],"sourceUrl":"https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4","license":"GitHub Advisory Database · CC-BY-4.0","key":"osv:GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4","identifiers":["GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4","CVE-2026-26060","GO-2026-4888"]},"retained":false,"historicalAffected":[]},{"revision":"6f35c396a9f54a9f96000aca4482b82d","observedAt":"2026-10-24T13:19:41.952+00:00","statement":{"source":"osv","id":"GO-2026-4888","aliases":["CVE-2026-26060","GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4"],"title":"Fleet: Password reset tokens remain valid after password change for 24 hours in github.com/fleetdm/fleet","description":"Fleet: Password reset tokens remain valid after password change for 24 hours in github.com/fleetdm/fleet.\n\nNOTE: The source advisory for this report contains additional versions that could not be automatically mapped to standard Go module versions.\n\n(If this is causing false-positive reports from vulnerability scanners, please suggest an edit to the report.)\n\nThe additional affected modules and versions are: github.com/fleetdm/fleet/v4 before v4.43.5-0.20260113202849-bbc1aef2987d.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-04-02T18:42:30+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-04-02T21:20:03.101441+00:00","affected":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/fleetdm/fleet/v4","ranges":[{"type":"SEMVER","events":[{"kind":"introduced","version":"0"}]}],"versions":[],"rawVersionEvidence":null}],"metrics":[],"references":["https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/security/advisories/GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4"],"sourceUrl":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-4888","license":"OSV · upstream source license applies","key":"osv:GO-2026-4888","identifiers":["GO-2026-4888","CVE-2026-26060","GHSA-3458-r943-hmx4"]},"retained":false,"historicalAffected":[]}],"coverage":[{"source":"cisa-kev:global","scope":"Complete CISA KEV catalog; all vendors.
