In versions 0.2.21 and below, the readRequestBody() function in the HTTP transport concatenates request body chunks into a string with no size limit. Although a maxMessageSize configuration value exists, it is never enforced in readRequestBody(). A remote unauthenticated attacker can crash any mcp-framework HTTP server by sending a single large POST request to /mcp, causing memory exhaustion and denial of service. This issue has been fixed in version 0.2.22.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-04-16T22:16:38.073+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-10-26T21:10:00.17+00:00","affected":[],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS 4.0 · security-advisories@github.com · Secondary","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:X/CR:X/IR:X/AR:X/MAV:X/MAC:X/MAT:X/MPR:X/MUI:X/MVC:X/MVI:X/MVA:X/MSC:X/MSI:X/MSA:X/S:X/AU:X/R:X/V:X/RE:X/U:X","score":8.7,"severity":"HIGH"}],"references":["https://github.com/QuantGeekDev/mcp-framework/commit/f97d2bb76d6359faf10cd1fc54b4911476b62524","https://github.com/QuantGeekDev/mcp-framework/security/advisories/GHSA-353c-v8x9-v7c3"],"sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-39313","license":"NIST NVD usage terms; underlying source attribution retained","enrichment":{"sourceStatus":"Deferred","weaknesses":["CWE-770"],"productCriteria":[],"sourceDates":{"published":"2026-04-16T22:16:38.073","lastModified":"2026-10-26T21:10:00.170"},"relatedAdvisories":[],"note":"NVD analysis and CPE criteria are source context, not proof that a package or your environment is affected.
