In version 4.3.0, a remote Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability exists in GoBGP due to a nil pointer dereference. When a malformed BGP UPDATE message contains an unrecognized Path Attribute marked as \"Well-known,\" the daemon fails to interrupt the message handling flow. This results in an illegal memory access and a full process crash (panic). This issue has been patched in version 4.4.0.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-05-07T11:50:41.545+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-05-07T12:34:38.588+00:00","affected":[{"ecosystem":"Vendor product","name":"gobgp","ranges":[],"versions":[],"rawVersionEvidence":"{\n                    \"vendor\": \"osrg\",\n                    \"product\": \"gobgp\",\n                    \"versions\": [\n                        {\n                            \"version\": \"= 4.3.0\",\n                            \"status\": \"affected\"\n                        }\n                    ]\n                }"}],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS 3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5,"severity":"HIGH"}],"references":["https://github.com/osrg/gobgp/security/advisories/GHSA-7235-89m6-f4px","https://github.com/osrg/gobgp/releases/tag/v4.4.0"],"sourceUrl":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-41642","license":"CVE Program Terms of Use","key":"cve-program:CVE-2026-41642","identifiers":["CVE-2026-41642"]},"retained":false,"historicalAffected":[]}],"coverage":[]}
