Versions up to and including 1.4.2 of the `@apostrophecms/seo` package injects the Google Analytics Tracking ID (`seoGoogleTrackingId`) and Google Tag Manager ID (`seoGoogleTagManager`) directly into `<script>` tag bodies using JavaScript template literals without any sanitization or validation. Any user with editor-level access (the default role for content managers) can set these fields to a malicious value, resulting in stored XSS that executes on every page for every visitor of the site. As of time of publication, no known patched versions are available.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-06-12T20:57:48.913+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-06-15T17:49:39.197+00:00","affected":[{"ecosystem":"Vendor product","name":"@apostrophecms/seo","ranges":[],"versions":[],"rawVersionEvidence":"{\n                    \"vendor\": \"apostrophecms\",\n                    \"product\": \"@apostrophecms/seo\",\n                    \"versions\": [\n                        {\n                            \"version\": \"<= 1.4.2\",\n                            \"status\": \"affected\"\n                        }\n                    ]\n                }"}],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS 3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.7,"severity":"HIGH"}],"references":["https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/security/advisories/GHSA-wf43-fpp3-cf65"],"sourceUrl":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-53608","license":"CVE Program Terms of Use","key":"cve-program:CVE-2026-53608","identifiers":["CVE-2026-53608"]},"retained":false,"historicalAffected":[]}],"coverage":[]}
