This condition can be triggered maliciously by an attacker by opening a large number of connections to the HTTP server. Additionally Routinator runs into a stack overflow and exits when a payload item with too much metadata is discarded at once.\n\nThis only affects users that make their HTTP or RTR server available to untrusted networks.","state":0,"publishedAt":"2026-10-26T17:06:15.152+00:00","modifiedAt":"2026-10-26T17:57:34.344+00:00","affected":[{"ecosystem":"Vendor product","name":"Routinator","ranges":[],"versions":[],"rawVersionEvidence":"{\n                    \"vendor\": \"NLnet Labs\",\n                    \"product\": \"Routinator\",\n                    \"versions\": [\n                        {\n                            \"version\": \"0.15.3\",\n                            \"status\": \"unaffected\",\n                            \"lessThan\": \"*\",\n                            \"versionType\": \"semver\"\n                        }\n                    ],\n                    \"defaultStatus\": \"affected\"\n                }"}],"metrics":[{"system":"CVSS 3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.5,"severity":"MEDIUM"}],"references":["https://www.nlnetlabs.nl/downloads/routinator/CVE-2026-72752.txt"],"sourceUrl":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-72752","license":"CVE Program Terms of Use","key":"cve-program:CVE-2026-72752","identifiers":["CVE-2026-72752"]},"retained":false,"historicalAffected":[]}],"coverage":[]}
