Versions prior to 0.5.1 have a logic flaw in `bashToolHasPermission()` inside `src/tools/BashTool/bashPermissions.ts`. When the sandbox auto-allow feature is active and no explicit deny rule is configured, the function returns an `allow` result immediately — before the path constraint filter (`checkPathConstraints`) is ever evaluated. This allows commands containing path traversal sequences (e.g., `../../../../../etc/passwd`) to bypass directory restrictions entirely. Version 0.5.1 contains a patch for the issue.","datePublished":"Apr 20, 2026, 11:24:08 PM","dateUpdated":"Apr 21, 2026, 7:49:30 PM","baseScore":8.4,"baseScoreVersion":"3.1","baseScoreVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","references":"https://github.com/Gitlawb/openclaude/security/advisories/GHSA-m6rx-7pvw-2f73\nhttps://github.com/Gitlawb/openclaude/commit/7002cb302b78ea2a19da3f26226de24e2903fa1d\n","aliases":"CVE-2026-35570\nGHSA-m6rx-7pvw-2f73\n","assigner":"GitHub_M","epss":0.23,"enisaIdProduct":[{"id":"4720eaa1-3197-35f2-b69e-5e86a3cf8717","product":{"name":"openclaude","vendor":{"name":"Gitlawb"}},"product_version":"\u003c 0.5.1"}],"enisaIdVendor":[{"id":"8852cc5b-330d-32ed-9686-97589014c2a4","vendor":{"name":"Gitlawb"}}],"enisaIdVulnerability":[{"id":"c430c783-e805-3d93-9cbf-19ff0039d7a0","vulnerability":{"id":"GHSA-m6rx-7pvw-2f73","description":"OpenClaude: Sandbox Bypass via Early-Exit Logic Flaw Allows Path Traversal ","datePublished":"Apr 21, 2026, 3:16:16 PM","dateUpdated":"Apr 21, 2026, 3:16:16 PM","baseScore":0.0,"references":"https://github.com/Gitlawb/openclaude/security/advisories/GHSA-m6rx-7pvw-2f73\nhttps://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-35570\nhttps://github.com/Gitlawb/openclaude/commit/7002cb302b78ea2a19da3f26226de24e2903fa1d\nhttps://github.com/Gitlawb/openclaude\n","enisa_id":"EUVD-2026-23988\n","aliases":"CVE-2026-35570\nGHSA-m6rx-7pvw-2f73\n","epss":0.0,"dataProcessed":"Oct 25, 2026, 1:55:10 AM","vulnerabilityProduct":[],"vulnerabilityVendor":[]}},{"id":"c48d48d6-67e6-3968-a078-b78b8841c6bf","vulnerability":{"id":"CVE-2026-35570","description":"OpenClaude is an open-source coding-agent command line interface for cloud and local model providers.
