Configure Global Privacy Control
Supported on Microsoft Windows 7 or later
What it does
Global Privacy Control allows users to signal privacy preferences to websites, such as not wanting their personal information to be sold or shared by businesses. When enabled, GPC sends a Sec-GPC request header and exposes the navigator.globalPrivacyControl JavaScript API. If this policy is set to true, Global Privacy Control will be enabled. If this policy is set to false, Global Privacy Control will be disabled. If this policy is left unset, Global Privacy Control will be enabled by default.

- Hive
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER

- The OMA-URI is an inferred ADMX-backed Policy CSP candidate derived from the source ADMX file name and policy name.
- Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
