Microsoft Edge

Ask where to save downloaded files

Computer and userIntune-readyPromptForDownloadLocation

Supported on Microsoft Edge version 77, Windows 7 or later

What it does

Set whether to ask where to save a file before downloading it. If you enable this policy, the user is asked where to save each file before downloading; if you don't configure it, files are saved automatically to the default location, without asking the user. If you don't configure this policy, the user can change this setting.

  • Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
