Set password rules domain timeout

UserNeeds changes for IntuneL_SetPasswordRulesDomainTimeout

Supported on SUPPORTED_Windows7 (defined in the Windows templates)

What it does

This policy setting will define how long in milliseconds to wait when contacting a domain controller before timing out. This requires the "Set password rules level" to be enabled and set to "Local length, local complexity, and domain policy checks." If you enable this policy setting, you may set how long in milliseconds to wait when contacting a domain controller before timing out. If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, the default value of 4000 milliseconds is used.

What it writes

Why it needs changes for Intune

  • Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
