Windows Components › Windows Sandbox
Allow audio input in Windows Sandbox
Supported on SUPPORTED_Windows_11_0_NOSERVER_ENTERPRISE_EDUCATION_PRO_SANDBOX (defined in the Windows templates)
What it does
This policy setting enables or disables audio input to the Sandbox. If you enable this policy setting, Windows Sandbox will be able to receive audio input from the user. Applications using a microphone may require this setting. If you disable this policy setting, Windows Sandbox will not be able to receive audio input from the user. Applications using a microphone may not function properly with this setting. If you do not configure this policy setting, audio input will be enabled. Note that there may be security implications of exposing host audio input to the container.

These deployment candidates come from the ADMX template; they are separate from the native CSP mapping above.
- The OMA-URI is an inferred ADMX-backed Policy CSP candidate derived from the source ADMX file name and policy name.
- Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
