Set default storage limits for websites
Supported on At least Internet Explorer 10.0
What it does
This policy setting sets data storage limits for indexed database and application caches for individual websites. When you set this policy setting, you provide the cache limit, in MB. If you enable this policy setting, Internet Explorer displays a notification when a website exceeds the configured storage limit. If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, users can set default data storage limits for indexed databases and application caches.
What it writes
- Hive
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER

- The OMA-URI is an inferred ADMX-backed Policy CSP candidate derived from the source ADMX file name and policy name.
- Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
