When an operating system version reaches the date listed in the **End of new agent version support** column, Microsoft stops releasing new versions of the Azure Connected Machine Agent for that operating system version. In accordance with the [Azure Connected Machine Agent release and support policy](/azure/azure-arc/servers/agent-release-notes), Microsoft continues to support and service the final compatible agent version for **12 months after the final agent release**.
