Microsoft Purview | Data Security Posture Management for AI: Web search query (preview)

Coming soon: In Microsoft Purview | Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for AI, admins can filter AI interactions to show interactions that contain a web search query and the contents of that web search query. A Purview license is required to access DSPM for AI. Admins will only be able to see web queries in Microsoft 365 Copilot or Microsoft Copilot Chat interactions in activity explorer if a user has a license for Microsoft 365 Copilot or Microsoft 365 (which includes Microsoft Chat). This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 489836. When this will happen: Public Preview: We will begin rolling out mid-June 2025 and expect to complete by late June 2025. General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late July 2025 and expect to complete by late July 2025. How this will affect your organization: The new filter will appear in the Purview Data Security Posture Management for AI activity explorer. An example of a web search query for a sample Copilot chat response. This feature will be enabled by default. What you need to do to prepare: This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to assess the impact on your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
