What the notice says
Microsoft’s text, safely structuredWe’re improving the way Microsoft Teams updates are delivered to make collaboration smoother and reduce network load. Teams will now use peer-to-peer (P2P) update distribution through Delivery Optimization (DO), enabling devices on the same network to share update files. This reduces reliance on CDN bandwidth and speeds up update completion.
When this will happen
General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout begins in early December 2025 and is expected to complete by late December 2025.
