What the notice says

Microsoft’s text, with source markup removed
What and Why: As part of our ongoing effort to deliver a more streamlined, Copilot-first experience on mobile, we are simplifying how users create content in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app for iOS and Android. Users are increasingly creating documents, presentations, images, and other artifacts directly through Copilot Chat using natural-language prompts. To align with this behavior and reduce confusion between multiple creation entry points, we are removing the standalone Create experience from the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app. Users will continue to be able to create content by prompting Copilot in Chat. The Create experience will remain available in Microsoft 365 Copilot on the web and desktop. Rollout Schedule: General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout begins in early August 2026 and is expected to complete by mid-September 2026. General Availability (GCC, GCC High, and DoD): Rollout begins in mid-August 2026 and is expected to complete by mid-September 2026. Impact on Your Organization: Who is affected: Users of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app for iOS and Android. Organizations that use the Create experience or Brand Kit capabilities from mobile devices. Users will continue to create visual and document artifacts by prompting Copilot directly in Chat. The Create experience will remain available in Microsoft 365 Copilot on the web and desktop. Brand Kit functionality will continue to be available on web and desktop platforms. Impact to users: After this update reaches a user's device: The standalone Create entry point will no longer appear in the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app. Users can continue creating content through Copilot Chat using natural-language prompts. Users who rely on Brand Kit or prefer the dedicated Create experience can continue using those capabilities in Microsoft 365 Copilot on the web and desktop. This change is enabled by default and does not require any user action. Action Required/Recommendations: No admin action is required. We recommend informing users who currently use the mobile Create experience that content creation workflows will move to Copilot Chat and that the dedicated Create experience, including Brand Kit, remains available on web and desktop. There are no new admin controls, policies, or configuration options associated with this change. No updates to existing Intune, mobile device management (MDM), compliance, or security configurations are required. Compliance Considerations: No compliance considerations identified, review as appropriate for your organization.
