What the notice says
Microsoft's text, with its sections, lists and tables; source markup removedUpdated October 15, 2026: We have updated the content. Thank you for your patience.
What and Why
We are introducing a new Call Monitor experience in Microsoft Teams for Web that helps users stay connected to meetings while working in other browser tabs. When users move away from an active meeting tab, Teams can display key meeting controls in a separate Picture-in-Picture (PiP) window, making it easier to manage calls and meetings without returning to the meeting tab.
This enhancement improves multitasking during meetings and helps users remain engaged while working elsewhere in their browser.
