What the notice says

Microsoft’s text, with source markup removed
What and Why: Audio Overviews on PDFs in the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app allows commercial users to turn PDF content into an AI-generated, two-person, podcast-style audio overview. It is designed to help users understand lengthy documents without having to read through every page, particularly when they want to consume content hands-free. Users open a PDF in the mobile app and select the headphone entry point. Copilot then generates an audio overview of the document that users can listen to within the app Rollout Schedule: General Availability (Worldwide): We will retire the feature on October 30, 2026. Impact on Your Organization: Users will no longer see the option to create an Audio Overview when viewing a PDF in the Copilot app. Previously generated PDF Audio Overviews will no longer be available for playback. This change applies to commercial users on iOS and Android. Action Required/Recommendations: No administrator action is required. Compliance considerations: No compliance considerations identified. Review as appropriate for your organization.
