Start Brave with Microsoft® Windows®
Supported on Microsoft Windows 7 or later
What it does
Controls whether Brave opens a browser window when the user signs in to Microsoft® Windows®. Brave has a "Start Brave with Microsoft® Windows®" setting that registers it to launch when the user signs in, so the browser is ready right away. Users may also be shown prompts suggesting they change this setting. Setting the policy to Enabled, Brave launches and opens a browser window when the user signs in. Users can't change the setting and aren't shown prompts to change it. Setting the policy to Disabled, Brave doesn't launch when the user signs in. Users can't change the setting and aren't shown prompts to change it. Not setting the policy, users can change the setting. This policy has no effect on versions of Brave where the "Start Brave with Microsoft® Windows®" setting is not available.

- The OMA-URI is an inferred ADMX-backed Policy CSP candidate derived from the source ADMX file name and policy name.
- Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
