Set limit on megabytes of memory a single Chrome instance can use.

Computer and userIntune-readyTotalMemoryLimitMb

Supported on Microsoft Windows 7 or later

What it does

Configures the amount of memory that a single Brave instance can use before tabs start being discarded (I.E. the memory used by the tab will be freed and the tab will have to be reloaded when switched to) to save memory. If the policy is set, browser will begin to discard tabs to save memory once the limitation is exceeded. However, there is no guarantee that the browser is always running under the limit. Any value under 1024 will be rounded up to 1024. If this policy is not set, the browser will only begin attempts to save memory once it has detected that the amount of physical memory on its machine is low.

  • The OMA-URI is an inferred ADMX-backed Policy CSP candidate derived from the source ADMX file name and policy name.
  • Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
  • Option values are the template defaults, or sample values chosen from each option's type where the template has none; set your own values before deploying.
