Configure auto-restart required notification for updates
Supported on Windows Server 2016 through Windows Server 2022, or Windows 10
What it does
Enable this policy to specify the method by which the auto-restart required notification is dismissed. When a restart is required to install updates, the auto-restart required notification is displayed. By default, the notification is automatically dismissed after 25 seconds. The method can be set to require user action to dismiss the notification. If you disable or do not configure this policy, the default method will be used.

These deployment candidates come from the ADMX template; they are separate from the native CSP mapping above.
- The OMA-URI is an inferred ADMX-backed Policy CSP candidate derived from the source ADMX file name and policy name.
- Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
