Windows Components › Internet Explorer
Limit Site Discovery output by Domain
Supported on At least Internet Explorer 8.0
What it does
This policy setting allows you to control which Domains are included in the discovery functionality of the Internet Explorer Site discovery Toolkit(SDTK). When enabled the feature will collect data from sites that are part of the domains configured in the policy. When disabled, or not configured, all domains will be included in site discovery. This policy can be used in conjunction with other policies controlling sites included in Site Discovery. To configure the domain(s) included in data collection for the IE Site Discovery Toolkit, Add one domain per line to the text box. For example: microsoft.sharepoint.com outlook.com onedrive.com timecard.contoso.com LOBApp.contoso.com
What it writes
- Hive
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- Registry key
Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\WMITelemetry

No native CSP; import the ADMX (Intune-ready).

- The OMA-URI is an inferred ADMX-backed Policy CSP candidate derived from the source ADMX file name and policy name.
- Some Microsoft policies use built-in Policy CSP pages whose area names don't match the ADMX file name, so verify the candidate against Microsoft Learn before deployment.
- The generated payload is incomplete because one or more ADMX element values were not supplied: SiteDiscoveryDomainAllowList
