Dynamics 365 Project Operations: Optimize Project Operations - Support lookup data type in custom columns
As part of our commitment to continuously improve Project Operations, we plan to expand the Enterprise Task Custom Columns capability. This enhancement builds on the existing functionality that allows you to add Date , Text , Number , and Choice fields to the task grid. With this enhancement, you gain the ability to add Lookup data type fields as enterprise task custom columns. This change makes it easier to surface relational data directly in the task grid, eliminating the need for task form customizations. The process for creating and adding custom columns remains unchanged, ensuring a consistent and familiar workflow while offering expanded options. This feature is enabled by default for all customers and doesn't require any additional configuration or action to enable. Business Value: This feature is designed for teams that manage complex projects and need quick access to key information. By adding Lookup fields directly to the task grid, you can keep critical data in one place without switching screens. This saves time, reduces manual customization, and helps your team stay focused on delivering results instead of managing forms. Enabled for: Enabled for end users automatical…
