Dynamics 365 Project Operations: Optimize Project Operations - Assign task level calendar for precise planning
This feature provides an experience to change the task calendar on the Customizable task details pane . To enable this feature, from project parameters select Enable Customize Task Pane . When enabled through feature control, this functionality lets you: Set a task-level calendar on the Customizable task details pane. Manage task-level calendars. Schedule API support. Business Value: With project-level calendars, every task follows the same schedule, even when timing needs differ. That often means extra work and inaccurate plans. Task-level calendars change that. You can assign a unique calendar to each task, giving you control over working hours and timelines. This flexibility helps you build accurate schedules, reduce manual changes, and keep projects moving even when tasks vary. Combined with task-level schedule mode, you decide what the system adjusts, effort, duration, or units, while still setting custom hours for each task. Enabled for: Enabled by admins/makers/marketers for end users
