wifi: libertas: reject short monitor TX frames
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.

PublishedIn the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libertas: reject short monitor TX frames In monitor mode, lbs_hard_start_xmit() casts skb->data to a radiotap TX header, skips that header, and then copies the 802.11 destination address from offset 4 in the remaining frame. The generic length check only rejects zero-length and oversized skbs, so a short monitor frame can be read past the end of the skb data. Require enough bytes for the radiotap TX header and the destination address field before using the monitor-mode header layout.
