Socket.IO: Zero-attachment Memory Exhaustion
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-69185
PublishedSocket.IO enables bidirectional and low-latency communication for every platform. Prior to 4.2.7, 3.4.5, and 3.3.6, a specially crafted Socket.IO packet can make the server wait for a large number of binary attachments and buffer them, which can be exploited to make the server run out of memory. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.7, 3.4.5, and 3.3.6.
