Sharp before 0.35.0 Multiple Vulnerabilities via Bundled libvips Image Decoders
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.

PublishedSharp before 0.35.0 bundles a version of libvips affected by multiple vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-33327, CVE-2026-33328, CVE-2026-35590, CVE-2026-35591 and CVE-2026-69242) in its GIF, TIFF and VIPS image decoders. Attackers can supply crafted GIF, TIFF or VIPS files to applications using sharp to process untrusted input, triggering these libvips flaws.

Published### Impact A number of vulnerabilities, two rated as "High" severity using CVSSv4, have been discovered and fixed in the upstream libvips dependency. Those processing untrusted input with versions of sharp prior to 0.35.0 are affected. ### Patches #### Using prebuilt binaries provided by sharp? Most people rely on the prebuilt binaries provided by sharp. Please upgrade sharp to the latest version, currently 0.35.3, which provides libvips 8.18.3. #### Using a globally-installed libvips? Please ensure you are using the latest libvips 8.18.3. ### Workarounds Add the following to your code to prevent sharp from decoding GIF, TIFF and VIPS images. ```js sharp.block({ operation: ["VipsForeignLoadNsgif", "VipsForeignLoadTiff", "VipsForeignLoadVips"] }); ```
