showdown - Cross-Site Scripting via Unescaped Metadata Title in completeHTMLDocument
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-59711
Publishedshowdown contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in metadata title handling that allows attackers to inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript. When completeHTMLDocument option is enabled, unescaped less-than and greater-than characters in markdown frontmatter metadata are inserted directly into HTML title tags, enabling attackers to break out of the title context and execute malicious scripts in the rendered page.
