zrok copy writes attacker-controlled WebDAV paths outside the destination root
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-45576
Publishedzrok is software for sharing web services, files, and network resources. From 0.4.23 until 2.0.3, `zrok2 copy` stores attacker-controlled WebDAV or zrok drive paths such as /../outside.txt in the source inventory and passes them to FilesystemTarget.WriteStream, allowing the sync pipeline to write files outside the selected local filesystem destination root. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.3.

Published## Summary Alice runs `zrok2 copy` from a WebDAV or zrok drive controlled by Bob into a local filesystem target. Bob returns a DAV `href` such as `/../outside.txt`. The sync pipeline stores that path in the source inventory and passes it to `FilesystemTarget.WriteStream`, which joins it with the target root and creates the file outside Alice's selected directory. ### Impact Users given access to a zrok share may be able to traverse the directory tree arbitrarily with the sharing users credentials, allowing for sensitive information to be overwritten.
