Malicious code in @worrisome/aaaa (npm)
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.

It impersonates a Cloudflare Turnstile 'security check' page and, when loaded in a browser via an npm CDN such as unpkg or jsdelivr, fetches an AES-CTR-encrypted destination host from https://api.keyval.org/get under a hardcoded key, decrypts it with a hardcoded AES key, and redirects the browser to a runtime-chosen URL under /api/strategies/check. The tarball contains no JavaScript entry, no lifecycle scripts (preinstall/install/postinstall/prepare), and no code reachable via require/import — main pointing at an.html file is inert in Node, so npm install and require() of this package execute nothing on the installer. The harm surface is end-user browsers that load the HTML through the npm CDN, not developers or build systems that install the package. ## Source: ghsa-malware (a40fa46e41f398f4bc4d74e11b8ff064d691a5c5a9b8950003f93e76e114b5b4) Any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.
