Wasmtime 46.0.0 before 48.0.6 and 49.0.0 before 49.0.3 Panic via StreamReader Type Mismatch
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-119135
PublishedWasmtime 46.0.0 before 48.0.6 and 49.0.0 before 49.0.3 panics when the host reads a component model stream as a different Rust item type than it was created with, because the host-to-host read path asserts matching TypeIds instead of returning an error. Guest code can return a host-created StreamReader<U> that the embedder reads as StreamReader<T>, where both types map to the same component model type, crashing the embedding process.

A missing vector with a zero score is treated as unrated. Complete vendor/product and underlying source evidence remains in the original JSON.
