Command Injection in tmpServer Allows Local Privilege Escalation in TP-Link RE305
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-102815
PublishedAn operating-system command injection vulnerability exists in the tmpServer service of TP-Link RE305 V3. The service runs with root privileges and listens on the local loopback interface. A local attacker with access to a low-privileged process on the device may submit a crafted request to the TDDPv1 service and execute operating-system commands with root privileges. Successful exploitation may allow a local attacker with low privileges to obtain root privileges and execute arbitrary operating-system commands on the affected device.
