Kiro IDE Insufficient File Write Restrictions to Execution-Sensitive Paths
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-10591
PublishedInsufficient access control restrictions in the file write tool in Amazon Kiro IDE before version 0.11 might allow remote unauthenticated actors to execute arbitrary commands via crafted instructions that cause writes to execution-sensitive paths (such as .vscode/tasks.json), enabling auto-execution on folder open. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to Kiro IDE version 0.11 or later.
