libsmb2 through 6.2 Heap Out-of-Bounds Read via decode_acl Integer Underflow
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-110714
Publishedlibsmb2 through 6.2 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in decode_acl that allows malicious SMB servers to trigger heap out-of-bounds reads via crafted security descriptors. Attackers controlling a server or intercepting unsigned sessions can send an AclSize below 8 in a QUERY_INFO reply, bypassing ACE bounds checks and crashing the client.
