pypdf: Unvalidated JPEG image data loading
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.

Publishedpypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.1, an attacker can craft a PDF containing image data labeled with the /DCTDecode filter that causes Pillow to select and invoke an unintended image parser when the image is loaded. Environments without the optional Pillow dependency are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.1.
