Mod_qos: out-of-bounds reads in response-body substring matching
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-114459
PublishedA flaw was found in mod_qos. When inspecting HTTP response bodies, improper boundary checking can cause the module to read memory outside allocated buffer boundaries. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by triggering specifically crafted server responses, causing an Apache worker process to crash and resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
