OpenBao before 2.6.4 and 2.7.0 before 2.7.1 Role-Based Rate Limit Quota Bypass via Request Parsing
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-115359
PublishedOpenBao before 2.6.4 and 2.7.x before 2.7.1 contains a flaw in its rate limit quota subsystem where role resolution fails for requests with form-encoded bodies or forwarded certificates, so quota rules scoped to backend-specific roles are not enforced. Valid callers can repeatedly issue tokens without consuming the configured role-based rate limit budget.
