OpenBao 2.5.0 before 2.6.2 PKI allowed_ip_sans_cidr Bypass via CSR IP SANs
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-115369
PublishedOpenBao from 2.5.0 before 2.6.2 fails to enforce the PKI role allowed_ip_sans_cidr restriction on IP SANs taken from a CSR when use_csr_sans is enabled. Authenticated callers with sign permission can submit a CSR with an out-of-range IP SAN to pki/sign/<role> and obtain CA-signed certificates for unauthorized IPs.
