vLLM 0.19.0 before 0.24.0 Audio Decompression Bomb DoS via Chat Completions
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-116175
PublishedvLLM from 0.19.0 before 0.24.0 contains a decompression bomb vulnerability because the AudioMediaIO multimodal path calls load_audio without the max_duration_s decoded-duration limit. Authenticated attackers can send small compressed audio via input_audio or audio_url in /v1/chat/completions requests that expands to huge decoded PCM, exhausting server memory.
