gbsplay through 0.0.103 Out-of-Bounds Read via mapper_map ROM Bank Index
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.
cve-program · CVE-2026-116725
Publishedgbsplay through 0.0.103 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in mapper_map() in mapper.c that fails to reject ROM bank indexes beyond the ROM size, causing an underflowed bank length. Attackers can supply crafted .gbr, .gbs or .gb files with malicious bank indexes to make bank_get() read far past the heap ROM buffer and crash the player.
