NetBox MCP Server: HTTP transport exposes all NetBox data without authentication
Collected exploitation and prediction evidence
Risk source coverageCISA KEV is observed exploitation evidence. FIRST EPSS is a dated prediction of exploitation in the next 30 days. Missing scores are unknown. This collector requests predictions only for explicit CVE aliases in the public NuGet archive; Microsoft release views retain their existing prediction scope.
No collected risk observation for these identifiers. This does not establish absence of exploitation or a zero probability.

PublishedNetBox MCP Server is a simple read-only Model Context Protocol server for NetBox. Prior to version 1.2.1, when running with TRANSPORT=http, the MCP server has no authentication on the HTTP endpoint. Any client that can reach the port gets a valid MCP session and full access to all four NetBox tools - no token or credential needed. This issue has been patched in version 1.2.1.
